abstract = {The Umayyads played a substantial role in the resurgence of pre-Islamic ignorance (Jāhiliyyah) within society. This research seeks to answer the following question: what were the indicators of this return to Jāhiliyyah during the Umayyad period, and what were the causes of this regression? The findings of this study, conducted through an analytical method and library research, indicate that the signs of this return to Jāhiliyyah can be identified in components such as tribalism, materialism, a master-servant perspective on governance, vindictiveness, and the promotion of Isrā'īliyyāt (Judeo-Christian narratives) by the Umayyads. The dominance of the Umayyad interpretation of Islam, the marginalization and isolation of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and the Umayyads' preoccupation with wealth accumulation were among the factors that fostered the growth of Jāhilī thoughts.},

abstract_fa ={بنی‌امیه در زمینة بازگشت جاهلیت به جامعۀ اسلامی، نقش فراوانی داشتند. این نوشتار به دنبال پاسخ به این پرسش است که نشانه‌های بازگشت به جاهلیت در عهد امویان چه بود و عوامل رجعت جاهلی در این دوره چیست؟ یافته‌های این پژوهش که به روش تحلیلی و مطالعة کتابخانه‌ای صورت پذیرفته، گویای این نکته است که نشانه‌های این رجعت جاهلی را می‌توان در مؤلفه‌هایی همچون قبیله‌گرایی، دنیاگرایی، نگاه ارباب ـ رعیتی به مقولة حکومت، کینه‌ورزی، و ترویج اسرائیلیات توسط بنی‌امیه دانست. حاکم بودن نوع برداشت امویان از اسلام، مهجوریت اهل‌بیت(ع) و انزوای آنها و همچنین اهتمام بنی‌امیه به ثروت‌اندوزی ازجمله عواملی بود که زمینة رشد افکار جاهلی را فراهم می‌آورد.},
