abstract = {This paper seeks to investigate and make criticisms of these two events on the basis of historical context for the revelation (sabab al-nuzul) of the verses 11-26 of sura Nur(Light) and historical indications. The verses related to Ifk were revealed to defend the Prophet, but later on some attempted to use these verses in order to magnify the status of Ayesheh against Imam Ali. We appreciate the efforts of the writer of this article and point out that the disscussion over this subject is still open and we appreciate any new comments.},

abstract_fa ={بر پایه اخبار موجود، دو تن از همسران رسول خدا(صلى الله علیه وآله) متهم به زنا شدند که روایات هر یک با تفاوت ها و گاه تعارض هایى روبه روست. خلط اخبار مربوطه، و نیز نزاع هاى فرقه اى، به پیچیده تر شدن این مسئله کمک کرده است. این نوشتار اخبار آن دو حادثه را با نگاهى انتقادى، بررسى کرده و بر اساس روایاتِ شأن نزول، شواهدى از آیات 11 ـ 26 سوره مبارکه نور و قراین تاریخى، نزول آیات افک را در دفاع از شخص رسول خدا(صلى الله علیه وآله) و مبارزه با منافقان مدینه در خصوص اتهام زنا به عایشه دانسته است. اما این حادثه بعدها دستاویزى براى بزرگ نمایى عایشه و به نوعى مبارزه با امیر مؤمنان امام على(علیه السلام) شد و در دامن تعصبات مذهبى رشد کرد.2
