Using the internet along with its capacities and facilities in research and scientific fields can, like any other means, have its own problems and dangers. In the near future, the discipline of history and researchers of the human sciences will face many threats and challenges due to the emergence of this new phenomenon. Using an analytical approach and documentary analysis, the present paper discusses in detail the historical background of the world web internet, the generation of digital documents in this web, the different sorts of the internet's influence on the future of the discipline of history and historiography, the possible consequences of the interaction between the internet and the discipline of history and the future of digital documents, which is one of the concerns of contemporary historians. حضور پدیده اینترنت در دو دهه اخیر در بسیاری از کشورها، تحولات مثبت بسیاری را به همراه داشته و حوزه تحقیقات و پژوهش های علوم انسانی، به ویژه تاریخ را از این تحولات بی نصیب نگذاشته است. به نظر می رسد، استفاده از این پدیده در حوزه های علمی و پژوهشی، با تمامی قابلیت ها و امکاناتش، همانند هر ابزار دیگری، دشواری ها و خطرهای خاص خود را به همراه داشته است. رشته تاریخ و محققان علوم انسانی در آینده ای نه چندان دور، در رویارویی با این پدیده جدید، با تهدید ها و چالش های بسیاری مواجه خواهند بود. این مقاله با رویکرد تحلیلی و بررسی اسنادی به تفصیل پیرامون پیشینه شبکه جهانی اینترنت و تولید اسناد دیجیتال در این شبکه، جنبه هاى مختلف تأثیر شبکه جهانی اینترنت بر آینده رشته تاریخ و تاریخ نگاری، پیامدهای احتمالی تعامل اینترنت با رشته تاریخ، آینده اسناد دیجیتال، که یکی از دغدغه های مورخان معاصر است، بحث نموده است. https://tarikh.nashriyat.ir/sites/tarikh.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2_0.pdf
