The main question of the research is how Iranians used to perform hajj in that period and what factors influenced their hajj rituals. The research findings show that the conditions of hajj and, generally speaking, performing these rituals and visiting holy shrines by Iranians were greatly influenced by the deep ideological and historical differences between Shiite and Sunni schools of thought. Furthermore, this geographical region was under the control of the Ottoman Empire, therefore, the relations between the Iranian government and Ottoman government and the sociopolitical conditions of that time had a decisive role in this regard. In addition, the environmental and geographical conditions, such as long distance, fierce heat, waterlessness and drought and contagious diseases were influential, as well. نوشتار حاضر به بررسی سفرنامه های حج رجال دوره قاجار می پردازد و با رویکردی توصیفی – تحلیلی، انجام مراسم حج توسط ایرانیان را در آن دوره تاریخی بررسی می کند. پرسش اساسی در این مقاله این است که مراسم حج توسط ایرانیان در آن روزگار به چه صورت انجام می شد و متأثر از چه عواملی بود. به نظر می رسد این سفر و به طور کلی چگونگی اجرای این مناسک و زیارت اماکن متبرکه آن سرزمین توسط ایرانیان شدیداً تحت تأثیر اختلافات ریشه دار اعتقادی و تاریخی مذاهب تشیع و تسنن بوده است. علاوه بر این، با توجه به تسلط دولت عثمانی بر این منطقه جغرافیایی، روابط بین دولت های ایران و عثمانی و نیز اوضاع سیاسی ـ اجتماعی روزگار، نقش تعیین کننده ای در این خصوص داشته است. افزون بر این، اوضاع و احوال جغرافیایی و محیطی از قبیل بُعد مسافت، گرمای شدید، بی آبی وخشکسالی و بیماری های مسری نیز در این خصوص بی تأثیر نبوده است. https://tarikh.nashriyat.ir/sites/tarikh.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2.pdf
