Among the factors which are worth mentioning are: misconception of the doctrines of Mahdism and awaiting the savior, the emergence of Sheikiyyah sect, in addition to some cultural and social factors like poverty, ignorance, illiteracy, and superstition. Regarding the political factors, we can refer to the weakness of government and multidirectional domination of foreign powers over the court and national resources on one hand and to the support offered by foreign powers for any deconstructive movement which targeted the strength of the government and religious scholars on the other hand. The mistake committed by some historians and the false claims of some followers of the misguided Baha'ism has made some think that such religious scholars like Sheikh A‘zam Ansari did not adopt a rigid stance in dealing with leaders of Baha'ism and Babism. The present paper tries to investigate these claims, and comment on them in the light of the existing evidence. در پیدایش فرقه‌ی ضاله‌ی بهائیت، علل گوناگونی دخیل بود. در این راستا می توان به بسترهای دینی همچون درک نادرست از آموزه‌ی مهدویت و انتظار منجی، ظهور فرقه‌ی شیخیه، و بسترهای فرهنگی و اجتماعی نظیر فقر، جهل، بی سوادی و خرافه پرستی اشاره کرد. از میان دلایل سیاسی نیز می توان از سویی به ضعف حکومت و تسلط همه جانبه‌ی اجانب بر دربار و منابع ملی، و از سوی دیگر به حمایت بیگانگان از هر حرکت ساختار شکن در راستای تضعیف اقتدار حکومت و علما اشاره کرد. اشتباه برخی از مورخان و دعاوی کذب برخی از پیروان فرقه‌ی ضاله‌ی بهائیت موجب شده است برخی گمان کنند علمایی همچون شیخ اعظم انصاری، در برخورد با سران بابیت و بهائیت برخورد قاطع و درخوری نداشته اند. در این نوشتار، به دنبال بررسی ادعاهای مطرح شده و سپس نقد و بررسی آنها با توجه به قرائن و شواهد موجود هستیم. https://tarikh.nashriyat.ir/sites/tarikh.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5_5.pdf
