Historians and non-Shi'ite scholars mainly believe that she was six or seven years old when she married the Prophet of God while she was a virgin. Some Shia scholars also believe that she married the Prophet, she was a virgin. The very claims made by Shiite and non-Shiite historians about the age of Aisha have become a means of abuse against the Prophet, and so some of the enemies of Islam, bringing forth various kinds of slanders and misconceptions, try to portray the particularly outstanding characteristic of the Supreme Prophet as sexual. A close study of history shows that Aisha's age was far more than six or seven years old when the prophet married her, and according to some reports, she had a marriage contract with Jobayr ibn Mot’am before marrying the Prophet and after getting a divorce from him, she became the Prophet's wife. This research attempts to examine Aisha's age according to historical sources and identify the causes and motivations behind claiming that Aisha was very young when she married. یکی از ازدواج های رسول اکرم صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم، ازدواج ایشان با عایشه بنت ابی بکر بود. مورخان و سیره نویسان غیرشیعی عمدتاً معتقدند: وی در زمان ازدواج، شش یا نه سال داشته و درحالی که باکره بوده، با رسول خدا صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم ازدواج کرده است. برخی از علمای شیعه نیز به باکره بودن وی معتقدند. همین ادعاهای مورخان عامه و خاصه دربارۀ سن عایشه اهرم فشاری علیه پیامبر رحمت و مهربانی شده، تا برخی از مستشرقان و دشمنان اسلام انواع تهمت ها و شبهه ها را مطرح کنند و چهرۀ نورانی پیامبر اعظم الهی را چهره ای تاریک و شهوت پرست و زن دوست معرفی نمایند.     با مراجعه به تاریخ و بررسی دقیق آن، مشخص می شود که سن عایشه به مراتب، بیش از شش یا نه سال بوده و بنا به گزارش هایی، وی قبل از ازدواج با پیامبر اکرم صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم، به عقدِ جبیربن مطعم درآمده بود و پس از طلاق گرفتن از او، همسر پیامبر صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم شده است. این پژوهش کوشیده تا سنّ عایشه را از منظر تاریخی بررسی کند و علل و انگیزۀ کم سن جلوه دادن او را مشخص سازد. https://tarikh.nashriyat.ir/sites/tarikh.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/2_16.pdf
