This view is formed on the basis of four categories of narrations: 1) narrations directly related to the subject of secret invitation; 2) narrations related to hiding the mission from Aboutaleb; 3) interpretive narrations of verses 214 of surah al-Sho’arah and verse 94 of surah al-Hojar; 4) narrations related to the house of Arqam ibn Abi Arqam. Using the descriptive-analytical method, this article has questioned the validity of some narrations about the secret invitation and has generally shown that the invitation of the Holy Prophet was not secret, but some of the companions of the Messenger of God, due to their special situations, were not able to manifest their Islam and secretly believed in it. Therefore, the Holy Prophet (pbuh) supported them by providing the means for hiding this group of companions’ belief in Islam. مشهور آن است که دعوت پیامبر اکرم (ص) در سال های آغازین بعثت به صورت مخفیانه انجام شده است. این دیدگاه به پشتوانه چهار دسته از روایات شکل گرفته است: 1) روایات ناظر به موضوع دعوت مخفی به صورت مستقیم؛ 2) روایات مربوط به مخفی کردن رسالت از ابوطالب؛ 3) روایات تفسیری آیات 214 شعراء و 94 حجر؛ 4) روایات مربوط به خانه ارقم بن ابی ارقم. این مقاله که به روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی انجام گرفته، اعتبار برخی از روایات دعوت مخفی را زیرسؤال برده و به طورکلی، نشان داده که اصل دعوت پیامبر اکرم(ص) مخفی نبوده است، بلکه برخی از یاران رسول خدا(ص) با توجه به موقعیت های خاص خود، قادر به علنی کردن اسلام خویش نبودند و به صورت مخفیانه ایمان می آوردند. پیامبر اکرم(ص) نیز با فراهم کردن موجبات مخفی ماندن اسلام این گروه از یاران خود، به حمایت از آنان برمی خاست. https://tarikh.nashriyat.ir/sites/tarikh.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/4_21.pdf
