Many cultural, artistic and religious works have appeared about the event of Karbala throughout history. The results of the researches done in this field creates some questions for the reader, which are answered in this brief writing. Indeed, what was the purpose of the Karbala movement and what was the root of the uprising? What are the views on the purpose of Imam Hossein's uprising? To what extent did factors such as "compulsion to pledge allegiance", "formation of a government", "seeking martyrdom", "enjoining the good and forbidding the evil", "invitation of the Kufians" and "a special Divine task" played a role in Imam's movement? I have looked at the Ashura uprising form a different perspective in this short writing, because I have tried to find the roots of the events of Ashura in the Qur'anic verses. Therefore, the main purpose of this article is "the application of Quranic traditions to the event of Ashura"; thus, I have introduced the root cause of the uprising as the basis of Imam Hussein's uprising; such that the mentioned views will stand on this basis. واقعه‌ی کربلا تأثیرگذارترین عامل در بازسازی هویت مسلمانان، به ویژه شیعیان بوده است. در طول تاریخ درباره‌ی واقعه‌ی کربلا آثار فرهنگی، هنری و مذهبی بسیاری پدید آمده است. یافته های پژوهشی در این میدان، خواننده را با پرسش هایی مواجه می کند که پاسخ آنها در این نگارش کوتاه تهیه شده است. به راستی نهضت کربلا با چه هدفی انجام گرفته و ریشه‌ی اصلی قیام چه بوده است؟ دیدگاه ها درباره‌ی هدف قیام امام حسین(ع) چیست؟ عواملی نظیر «اجبار بر بیعت»، «تشکیل حکومت»، «شهادت طلبی»، «امر به معروف و نهی از منکر»، «دعوت کوفیان» و «تکلیف ویژه» تا چه اندازه در حرکت امام(ع) نقش داشته اند؟ در این نگارش کوتاه، از زاویه ای دیگر به قیام عاشورا نگریسته شده؛ زیرا نگارنده تلاش کرده است براساس آیات قرآن واقعه‌ی عاشورا را ریشه یابی کند؛ ازاین رو وظیفه‌ی اصلی نوشتار حاضر «تطبیق سنت های قرآنی بر واقعه‌ی عاشورا» است و بدین وسیله ریشه ای ترین عامل قیام به عنوان مبنای قیام امام حسین(ع) معرفی شده است؛ به طوری که دیدگاه های یادشده در ذیل این مبنا قرار خواهند گرفت. https://tarikh.nashriyat.ir/sites/tarikh.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/1_25.pdf
