abstract = {The knowledge of the type of Imam Ali’s confrontation with non-Muslim Iranians during his rule is very important, because it can be a good example of the culture of dealing with non-Muslims, and it can be effective in clarifying how he confronted Iranians and in answering some allegations and speculations. This article tries to answer this question: how was the type of Imam Ali’s confrontation with non-Muslim Iranians during his rule? Using a descriptive-analytical method, the outcome of this article is as follows: Imam Ali applied the policy of tolerance to non-Muslims and accepted them as ‘ahl al-dhimma’ and did not allow any domineering over them; he observed justice in dealing with them and tried to solve their problems; he was not strict with them in receiving jizya and tax and accepted their gifts in some cases as well. Imam presented Islamic kindness in dealing with them, and this tolerant behavior was effective on their tendency to Islam and Ahl al-Bayt.},

abstract_fa ={آگاهی از نوع مواجهه‌ی امیرمؤمنان علی(ع) با ایرانیان غیرمسلمان در زمان حاکمیت خویش، از آن جهت که می تواند الگویی شایسته از فرهنگ برخورد با غیرمسلمانان را به نمایش بگذارد و نیز در روشن تر شدن چگونگی مواجهه‌ی آن حضرت با ایرانیان و رفع پاره ای از شبهات و گمانه ها مؤثر باشد، از اهمیت خاصی برخوردار است. سؤالی که این نوشتار درصدد است تا پاسخ شایسته ای برای آن بیابد، این است که نوع مواجهه‌ی امیرمؤمنان(ع) با ایرانیان غیرمسلمانان در زمان حاکمیت خویش چگونه بوده است؟ دستاورد این نوشتار که با بهره گیری از شیوه‌ی توصیفی ـ تحلیلی سامان یافته، چنین است: امام علی(ع) در برابر غیرمسلمانان سیاست مدارا را در پیش گرفته و آنان را به عنوان اهل ذمه پذیرفته بودند و تحکمی بر آنان روا نمی داشتند؛ عدالت را در برخورد با آنان رعایت می کردند و می کوشیدند مشکلات آنان را برطرف سازند؛ در دریافت جزیه و خراج بر آنان سخت گیری نمی کردند و در مواردی هدایای آنان را نیز می پذیرفتند. امام رأفت اسلامی را در برخورد با آنان به نمایش می گذاشتند و این رفتار مداراگونه در گرایش آنان به اسلام و اهل بیت(ع) بی تأثیر نبوده است.},
