The Grounds for the Expansion of Kharijites'

Kharijites can be considered the most important opposition party for the Islamic government in the early centuries in the Muslim era. They Provoke numerous riots against caliphs and were thus under pressure by them. They tried to settle in far-off areas of Islamic territory to survive and escape the pursuit and torture of the caliphs. Sistan is one of the regions of main attraction for Kharijites and, for special reasons, gradually became one of the major centers of Kharijite's activities in the early centuries of Muslim era.

Elegance and Embellishment in the Prophet's Life-Style

Exploration and research on the life-Style (biography) of the In fallible, especially that of the Prophet, has always been Felt Necessary and the result of such a research always enjoys a particular freshness and vivacity; this is because careful explanation and analysis of the Life-Style of the In fallible as Well as the Presentation of related principle plays a direct role in setting an example of behavior in different levels of society. The focus of discussion in this paper is the Prophet's Life-Style - who himself enjoys all virtues accessible for human beings - in term of elegance and embellishment. This discussion is concerned with both individual and collective ethics. We have tried to make use of all Sira traditions, in both Shii and Sunni sources accessible to the writer, to present a right picture of the Prophetic ethics on this issue. Therefore, the following topics have been discussed here: concerning oneself with embellishment, having a haircut, combing one's hair, tiding one's appearance, anoiting and dying the hair, using perfumes and Wearing rings.

The Historical Geography of Bost City from the Beginning to the Modern Age

Bost a city in the east of Sistan and near Hirmand River, is situated on the same latitude as the Zarang city, the center of Sistan, and as far as its resourses are concerned, it has been considered as part of Kabul, Khorasan and Sistan. This city, whose history goes back to 500 B.C., had been the center of commercial transactions between India and Islamic countries. Bost was first set on fire by Ghurids and then was cannonaded by Safavids. Today, the new city of Bost, named Lashkargah, is the center of Helmand province and one of the major agricultural centres of Afghanistan.

The Effect of Political Factors on the Religious Struggles
in Isfahan from the 4th Century up to the 7th Century

The political factors are a series of methods applied and measures taken by the ruling class to further their goals and preserve their control over society.
Political factors are one of the most influential factors in the structure of society, other factors being economy, culture, militarism, religion, etc. In this study, the effect of political factors of religious struggles in Isfahan from the 4th century up to the 7th century has been discussed, and the political changes and their effect on struggles in Isfahan have been reviewed by posing the following question: "What was the effect of the religious leaning of authorities (rulers and governors) on religious struggles in Isfahan?"

The Egyptian Shiis under Salahuddin Ayyubid

Studying the Shiis' conditions in various societies and the way in which governors have treated them have often been one of the Primary Concerns of some scholars. In this article, while reviewing the Shiis' condition under Salahuddin Ayyubi, the way in which he came into power at the Time of Fatimid dynasty in Egypt, and the way he treated Shiism would be mentioned. Meanwhile, the reasons Why Shiism Continued to decline in Egypt have also been investigated.

A Survey on the Usages of the Eepithet "Amir al-momenin"
in the Historical Context of Islam (2)

The present study has been organized to answer the following question: "What were the usages and meanings of the epithet 'Amir al-mo'menin' in the history of Islam?" The first section of the study was published in the previous issue of the magazine.
In that section, three chapters entitled "the lexical review", "the early usage", and "the common of usage" were presented. The present section is the rest of the third chapter, i.e. "the Common of usage". Besides, a conclusion has been presented for the whole study at the end of this section.
