In order to get to know Jafar bin Abi Talib , based on the comparative method, we can emphasize the common points and differences of historical sources. The present article has tried to make more comprehensive the knowledge about the socio-political personality of Jafar by analyzing the reports of the sources (biography, aristocracy and companionship), and by collecting library information. The absence of significant differences in the reports related to him, despite the multiplicity of approaches and religious tendencies of the authors of the works used in this article, the admiration of his social political personality, the popularity of Jafar with the Messenger of God and his companions, the quality of his martyrdom in the Battle of Mote. This article is considered. The lack of reports related to some acts of worship attributed to Jafar in the sources used is another result of this article.
